Ms. Chuanping Zhang has 16 years of Chinese teaching experience. She won the Overseas Chinese Teaching Excellence Award, the Excellent Chinese Teacher Award of the Chinese School Association in the United States, and the 10 Years Outstanding Contribution Teacher Award of the ACSGD. She also has achieved her Bilingual Teacher Training Certification. She has taught Pre-K to 8 grade classes at several private schools for many years. Ms. Zhang has been teaching at the ACSGD for 14 years, and has also taught collegiate-level Chinese classes during the summer at Wayne State University.
Ms. Chuanping Znang has a wealth of Chinese teaching experience. She uses active teaching methods and games in the classroom to stimulate the interest of each student in learning Chinese. She cultivates student achievement in independent listening, speaking, reading, writing and thinking skills. She tries to give students enough opportunity to practice speaking Chinese in the classroom, and encourages students to build confidence in learning Chinese. Ms. Zhang cares for each student and takes each student's learning process seriously. She helps them learn Chinese well by being very patient and responsible for each student. She has a very good affinity with students and parents.
Through one school year of study, 80% - 90% of Ms. Zhang's students achieved excellent scores in their quizzes and exams. Students taught by Ms. Zhang also take the YCT exam, and 98% of them pass the exam.

学前班是读幼儿园之前的班。对于学龄前的幼儿，以唱儿歌，讲故事以及肢体活动等方式，通过学习生活中常用物品，常见的动物，爱吃的水果，自然界中的花草树木等的汉语表示，增加孩子们的词汇量，培养学生的中文学习兴趣。将汉字分类，利用丰富的图片，儿歌，动画故事帮助学生学习字，词、句子，培养孩子的阅读能力。教材包括100多个生字，20多首儿歌，20个故事，16篇短课文。学年结束时，学生可以自己读简短的幼儿读物。
Age limit: 3 and 3+， born before 09/01/2022
This class is for the children before Kindergarten. The objective of Pre-Kindergarten class is to encourage an interest in learning Chinese at an early age through listening, speaking, reading, writing, crafts, drawing, games, performance, numbers, simple math and creativity, etc.
1. To introduce Chinese listening skills: (a) Understand and follow teacher's basic instructions. (b) Participate in various class activities. (c) Comprehend and memorize rhymes.
2. To build Chinese speaking skills: (a) Practice correct pronunciation of words. (b) Practice using common courtesy words. (c) Practice identifying everyday objects. (d) Practice basic colors and shapes. (e) Practice counting numbers in Chinese. (f) Promote a Chinese-speaking environment.
3.To participate in the group creativity activities to create the eye-opening experiences for kids.
