Essay Craft
with Inkwell English Education
recommended for grade 8 average students
Do you want your child to excel at writing? Many students struggle with the writing process, and parents are often at a loss to help. With Inkwell’s proprietary Writing Wraps program, students not only find writing tasks easier but also develop the skills to become competent and confident writers. The program’s approach is structured, incremental, and formulaic to support students’ success. Experience the advantages!
In the Essay Craft curriculum, students read essays specially selected to pair with Wraps lessons. They learn about and practice content, structure, and style of academic essays. With every assigned essay, they go through the writing process. Drafting and revising, they follow the requirements of standardized rubrics, which by their consistency develop mastery and independence. Assignments challenge students to adapt their acquired essay skills to specific purposes for writing—from argumentative to narrative.
Prerequisites
Students enrolling should already have completed Paragraph Patterns (or demonstrate mastery of writing grammatically correct sentences and understand basic paragraph structure). It is not a graded class; however, class projects, homework completion, and submitted papers earn students points toward a class completion certificate.
Fees
A materials
fee of $35 for the Writing Wraps book is due to the teacher on the first day of
class.
