Paragraph Patterns

with Inkwell English Education

recommended for grade 6 average students

Do you want your child to excel at writing? Many students struggle with the writing process, and parents are often at a loss to help. With Inkwell’s proprietary Writing Wraps program, students not only find writing tasks easier but also develop the skills to become competent and confident writers. The program’s approach is structured, incremental, and formulaic to support students’ success. Experience the advantages!

In the Paragraph Patterns curriculum, students read articles specially selected to pair with Wraps lessons. They learn about and practice content, structure, and style of informational paragraphs. With every assigned paragraph, they go through the writing process. Drafting and revising, they follow the requirements of standardized rubrics, which by their consistency develop mastery and independence. Assignments challenge students to adapt their acquired paragraphing skills to specific purposes for writing—like comparison and contrast.

Prerequisites

Students enrolling should already have mastered writing grammatically correct sentences. It is not a graded class; however, class projects, homework completion, and submitted papers earn students points toward a class completion certificate.

Fees

A materials fee of $35 for the Writing Wraps notebook is due to the teacher on the first day of class.
